The 2017 Halifax Busker Festival presented by Bell Aliant is excited about the addition of the Nova Scotia Marquee Stage. Partnering with TD, The Coast, Hamachi House and Garrison Brewing, the festival is bringing some of the province’s hottest musicians to the Halifax Waterfront. In keeping with the spirit of the Festival, the entertainment is FREE!

Christine Campbell and Blake Johnston
Christine Campbell recently launched her new album, Roller Coaster, representing her diverse influences- from hard rock and 70s rock to roots and blues. Roller Coaster offers a narrative of a small town Prince Edward Island girl who has become a powerful performer, known for her unapologetic mastery of guitar, piano and rock vocals.
Blake Johnston, best known as guitar-slinging powerhouse vocalist for The Stogies. Twice finalists at Indie-week, with their last album "Hoot" produced by John Landry of "The Stanfields". Blake has now branched off to showcase his soulful side and has been sharing the stage with Christine Campbell.
Together, they have been making synergistic waves, opening for Jan Arden and Bob Seger. With their dueling guitars, strong vocal harmonies and collaborative song writing, the two create an incredible experience you won't forget.
DJ Matty Galaxy
Matty Galaxy is an up-and- coming music producer and DJ from Canada’s East Coast, joining the DJ scene in 2010. Matty has shared stages with international DJs, such as Grand Theft, Ryan Hemsworth, Boi- 1da and more.
Since beginning his DJ'ing Career in 2010, Matty has many club dates, corporate events and weddings. Matty is a part of the wedding DJ company "True North DJ's" , which has won many awards including, Wedding wire's Bride's Choice Awards 2015.
LACEWOOD’S three lead members are Top Canadian Idol Finalist - Dwight Deon, East Coast Pop Songstress/Philanthropist - Lana Grant and Musician/Producer Guru - Chris Iannetti. This natural transition to a band format and genre switch to pop country, fits and brings out each of their strengths and has shown great potential even in the short term as the buzz is starting to leak out about this powerhouse music combination. Their strong song-writing experience, along with some unique collaborations tying them into Nashville with writing peers, was an asset, as they now work diligently to record their debut album, after penning a bounty of powerful radio friendly pop country hits.
Performing since the age of 3, Cory Tetford has lived a life of music. Born into a musical family, he toured his home province of Newfoundland and Labrador with his 2 brothers and father performing gospel music.
As a side man, Cory toured Canada and the USA with Damhnait Doyle and played with The Man Of A Thousand Songs – Ron Hynes. Recently, Cory has been touring with Alan Doyle of Great Big Sea in support of Alan’s debut solo album Boy on Bridge.
Cory released a solo record in 1999 that garnered him the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council Emerging Artist award and the 2000 MIANL Male Artist of the Year award. In 2000 Cory formed the Warner recording act Crush with fellow Newfoundlander Paul Lamb. The band toured Canada, released 2 records andwas nominated for a Juno and won 8 ECMAs.
Cory has stayed close to home and his young family as of late, and works out of his studio producing and engineering records, as well as working in the post-production world of TV and film as a re-recording mixer, Foley artist, and composer.

Her latest, self-produced album Down Below, the Status Quo was nominated for a total of twelve awards in her home of Eastern Canada, winning the R&B/Soul award at ECMAs and the Solo Recording of the Year in her home province of Nova Scotia.
Born with the gift of voice, Charlie A’Court grew up in rural Nova Scotia, Canada, where he spent his youth learning to play guitar while immersed in his father’s vinyl record collection – discovering singers like Otis Redding and Sam Cooke.
Now Charlie A’Court is the proverbial force to be reckoned with. Planted at the crossroads of roots and soul, Charlie’s mighty voice, fierce guitar work and contemporary songwriting have earned him an international following and a host of awards and accolades for his five solo albums to date, including his latest offering, Come On Over, winner of both the 2015 Music Nova Scotia Award and 2015 East Coast Music Award for Blues Recording of The Year.
Reeny is an award winning singer/songwriter from North Preston, Nova Scotia who began singing and playing piano at the age of 5 in her community church.
She has been awarded several notable awards and high profile performances. Reeny continues to leave her audiences wanting more of her impeccable vocals, original songs and modern style.
